Speakers of English and Korean unite!

Language exchange focussed meetup for those who are conversational level or above in Korean and English at a quiet bar venue in a very central London location (about ten minutes walk from Oxford Street). For a map of the location, see the website of the bar linked in the venue details given here.

It is recommended that participants at this meetup have a level of Korean at conversational or above.

We would like to have a session where those with conversational level or above Korean and English can informally study and practise Korean and/or English, and help others with their Korean and/or English in return. We are aiming this meetup at people who have a level of Korean and English that is from lower intermediate to native speaker - ie at least ability to basically benefit from an hour just conversing in Korean/English, even if far from full fluency and still making lots of mistakes. This should allow us to have at least one hour's solid Korean practice then one hour's solid English practice. If you can think of a couple (not overly complicated to begin with) topics to talk about that would be even better, for example, we could try "Fun places to visit in Korea and Britain". This session is intended as a language exchange, so we will speak Korean for the first hour and English for the second.

We will aim to meet near the main bar on the ground floor, but may move down to the basement bar later on in the evening if the atmosphere is more suitable there. We will keep the meetup signs out.

A suggested programme is as follows.

7.00 pm to 8.00 pm : Study and converse in Korean
8.00 pm to 9.00 pm : Study and converse in English
9.00 pm onwards : Whatever the mood is!
